« When I was young, I wanted a career in the graphic arts. I prepared for it by taking courses to get into a school. I was turned down because I’m colour blind. I had to find another career. I became a civil engineer. Nevertheless, I continued to draw, and when I had the opportunity to try my hand at sculpture, it was a revelation – I was free of colour!

A few words about the artist: Trained as an engineer at the Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (Supelec), he worked for 20 years in the aeronautics industry, including 10 years in Brest, where he was industrial director for 5 years. He then turned to landscaping for 10 years, as director of a landscaping company. And it was through learning clay modelling and ceramic art techniques applied to his sculptures that his creative passion blossomed, leading him to work as a professional sculptor since 2020. The richness of nature around him, in terms of its shapes and colours, has no limits when it comes to influencing his creative imagination.

A few words about the artist: a 41-year-old sculptor from Aveyron. After working as a stonemason and bricklayer for eight years, he decided to concentrate on his passion for sculpture at the age of 33, becoming an Artist/Author. A lover of tradition and the great names that make up the culture of French sculpture, Rémy works on classical and even antique themes. Always with a symbolic message, he likes to translate the allegory in a contemporary way, using contemporary clothes or objects.
